"Aspire, Aquire, Ascend" - The 25th
Installation of Leo Club of Negombo Orient
The 25th Installation Ceremony of the Leo Club of Negombo
Orient was held on the 20th of July, 2019 at the Paradise Beach Hotel, Negombo
with IPDG Lion Deva Peter MJF MAF JP (Lions District 306 B1) as the chief guest
and DP Leo I. Sinthujan (Leo District 306 B1) as the guest of honor. MDP-elect
Leo Dilruk Tissera & IPDP Leo Dulini Cooray also presented as special
guests.
The evening began with the arrival of the respected
guests, followed by the opening proceedings. Succeeding Leo Oceani Fernando's
Welcome Speech, Leo Nimasha Nawarathnam,
the Outgoing President, addressed the gathering. During her speech, she
acknowledged the support given to her for taking into a higher place. Then, the
induction of new Leos & the Board of Directives were taken place. After the
handing over of the proceedings, the newly installed President, Leo Ayodhya
Sovis, delivered her inaugural address. She voiced that she is honored to
assume the Presidency of Leo Club of Negombo Orient which stands out as one of
the reputed Leo Clubs in Sri Lanka. She mentioned that the best way to ascend
to the next level is aspiring with challenges & acquiring the opportunities
- "Aspire, Aquire, Ascend", the Presidential Theme.
Lion Deva Peter, the Chief Guest, invited all the to join
with Lions Movement as Leo Lions, stressing the match between the impact made
by Lions & potential of the youth.
