“Skillful Leos at Work”
is an initiative conducted by the Leo Multiple District for the Leoistic year
2019/20. Under this strategy, a workshop series is conducted monthly. This workshop series is mainly conducted to enhance the soft skills of Leos, who are the
future leaders of mother Sri Lanka. These workshops expect to cover some key
skills identified, such as CV writing and interview facing, entrepreneurship
and startup mindset, micro-financing, global marketing, and digital marketing.
This is headed by the Leo Multiple District
Secretary, Leo Pasindhu Bhanuka Premarathna with the support of few other Leos
namely Leo Tharindu Jayasinghe, Leo Ramathi Gayara Rajapakshe, Leo MinoleePerera
and Leo Yasiru Nilan. The first step of this workshop series was held on
Friday 26 th July from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm at the Leo Youth Centre, Colombo 07.
The resource person for the first workshop was Leo Pasindhu Bhanuka Premarathna
and was about CV writing and Interview Facing Skills. The workshop ended up
successfully with the request of another informative workshop.
Continuing its successful
journey and making it a reality, the second workshop was concluded with much
appreciation of all the Leos who participated yesterday (18/08/2019) at Lions
Activity Centre. Colombo 7. The topic for the workshop was Entrepreneurship and
Start-Up life. The session included an interactive session and panel discussion
which was conducted by Mr. Adhisha Gammanpila (CEO & CO-Founder of Surf
Edge) and Mr. Janith Gamage (Chief Product Officer & Co-founder of
SurfEdge)
Indeed, the value and the
importance of the workshops conducted is portrayed by the comments received by
the participants. The team invites all the Leos to make use of the upcoming
workshops which will definitely add value to life.
